The black diamond snap chat lotion is a lightener . Not a whitener . If you are looking to go three shades and up and it will not do that . But you will go one shade lighter for sure . I also notice that it does repair dark spots and dark areas . It cleared my spots in one week . I can definitely see a difference. I only gave 4 stars only because it gives the impression that it will whiten but it doesn’t . I would still recommend this lotion .
